LAND USE PERMITS ARE REQUIRED IN POPE COUNTY! Before erecting, altering (including additions), or relocating any building or structure, you must first secure a land use permit from Pope County Land and Resource Management, Located on the main floor of the courthouse. A permit may also be required to rebuild damaged structures. Plan ahead and obtain your land use permit long before the actual day you want to begin work, as this will help avoid any unnecessary delays. Any alteration or installation of sewage treatment systems and specific land alterations also requires a permit. * Permits within the city limits of Glenwood, Long Beach, Starbuck, Villard, Westport, Lowry, Farwell, Cyrus and Sedan may be obtained from the city clerk. *
