Laredo Search Tips After login, a screen with user news and a menu will appear at the left of your screen. Check for any new messages and delete the old ones. Click on the Search button for Recorder/Registrar of Titles Records. RECORDER/REGISTRAR OF TITLES SEARCH - Party name search requires you to click on the Add button after you enter each name you want to search on. Subdivision and tract search also requires you to click on the Add button after all criteria to search on has been entered. Examples - 000480 or 001240 or T001202), date range or search group. Click on the Find button to get search results. A search can be narrowed by combining search criteria, such as name and beginning date. SEARCH BY PARTY - use this format: Gore, Robert. You should look at all listings with the correct middle initial and those with no middle initial. Look at each record by clicking on the plus sign to the left of each entry. Putting in only a portion of the first name will also bring up more results e.g. Gore, Rob will bring up documents for both Robert Gore and Robin Gore. SEARCH BY DOCUMENT NUMBER - These are relatively fast. You can search by the document number of your desired instrument. (All Torrens document numbers must be preceded by enough zeroes to make a 6-digit number. Examples - T000480 or T001240). Select the desired name by clicking on it. Enter a lot and/or block number and click on the Add button. You cannot search a range of lots. - City plats are listed by the city name e.g. Original Plat of Glenwood is listed as Glenwood, Original Plat. - Additions to subdivisions are listed by the subdivision name first, then the addition number - example: The First Addition to Halwood is listed as Halwood, First Addition. - Auditor's Subdivisions are listed as Subdivision #. - Subdivisions of section-township-range are listed by the section-township-range then the quarter or government lot (e.g. Sec 18-125-38 GL 1 or Sec 10-125-38 SESW). SEARCH BY SECTION, TOWNSHIP AND RANGE with quarter quarter section - Enter the section, township and range number and right click on the quarter section. Click on the quarter quarter section and click on the Add button. Remember you will only get unplatted land in this search. If the land has been platted you must search by the updated legal. with government lot number: Enter the section, township and range number and enter the government lot number, click on the Add button. RESULTS SCREEN - Click on the plus sign at the beginning of each line to expand the information to show details. Once it is expanded, click on one of the following for more information: Party Names, Legal, Misc. or Image.
