Services and Responsibilities
Pope County Human Services administers services established by local, state and federal law that promotes and helps people meet their basic needs so they can live in dignity and achieve their highest potential.
The department is responsible for administration of many programs in the areas of Public Assistance, Child Support Collection and Enforcement, Child and Adult Protection, Long Term Care Consultation, Child and Foster Care Licensing, Child Care Assistance Program, Services for persons with Developmental Disabilities/Related Conditions, Mental Illness, Other Disabilities and Chemical Dependency. The agency has 27 employees and serves approximately 2360 cases per year.
