Services and Responsibilities
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 244.19, Pope County Probation provides probation services to all juvenile offenders as well as adult misdemeanants and gross misdemeanants, placed on probation by the Court. In addition to probation services, this department also provides pre-trial services and various programs.
Probation programs implemented by this agency include, but are not limited to:
• Pre-Trial Drug Testing
• Remote Electronic Alcohol Monitoring
• Juvenile Diversion
• Juvenile Community Service Crew
• Awareness Panel for Impaired Drivers
• the 12 Step Orientation Program
Mission Statement: It is the mission of Pope County Probation to promote public safety and reduce the impact and incidence of crime by holding offenders accountable, providing victim and community reparation, and by providing, quality rehabilitative programming through the use of evidence-based practices.
